Roger, don't quit your day job.

So I am the awesomest intern ever!
In case you were not aware (and based on my rate of updating, you are probably not)I am interning for the O'Malley campaign. Love him or hate him, I'm working toward his reelection, so please don't hate me.
Anyway, one of my jobs is to prepare call sheets for the Governor to call various well moneyed individuals and ask them for help raising money for the campaign. One of the individuals that i was checking up on (you really can find all sorts of info on people on the web)was not turning up. So I Googled his company, Erickson Retirement, and noticed that a news item on the company had popped up. When I read the item, I turned to my boss, Lisa, and said, "We have a problem." (or something to that effect) The problem was that the company had just (according the the time stamp on the article) flied for Bankruptcy. In reality they had filed two days before, but still.
Ok, It's not terribly exciting, But it would have been terribly embarrassing for the Governor to call up this guy and ask him to help out with an event, when the guy may have just lost his job.
So i feel bad for the guy, but I'm proud of myself. I think I give myself a cookie.
